What Can WATCH Offer?

WATCH is constantly evolving as a service, ensuring that the needs of its participants are foremost in all planning that takes place from Committee level to the day to day activities that occur.

Programs are constantly being added to the list to reflect peoples’ changing needs such as the Seniors Group which caters for our ageing participant population, The Inspire Group that caters to young school leavers (18-25 years old) to help further develop their social skills, independent living skills, creative skills, and community connections. Also, programs which have a sensory focus for those people with vision or auditory challenges. All programs are evaluated for relevance and interest, once a year and any new programs that are introduced are trialed by staff and participants for suitability.

Since 2004 staff have undergone training in the areas of Support Planning and Community Inclusion to ensure WATCH continues to meet the needs of participants and to promote and deliver a service in line with the directions of the Disability Act 2006 and the National Disability Standards and the NDIS Code of Conduct and Guidelines.

WATCH Disability Services acknowledges Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people as the traditional custodians of the land and acknowledges and pays respect to the Elders, past and present.
